Audio mixer - commnd line tool
Hello,
I'am looking for a command line tool to control the audio mixer (e.g. setting the input source for recording). Exists such a tool or can I write directly to /dev/mixer (but what nust be written?)? Background: I have made a script for recording TV using transcode which works fine, but sometimes there is no audio because the wrong input source was choosen. Thanks RGummi |
Try alsamixer, it should be part of a "alsa-utils" package.

Hello,
alsamixer is a GUI tool, but I think amixer will do it. I will try it |
alsamixer is actually a cli tool... it just uses a curses-based interface.
