nforce 2 and Dual Head under RH9

Hello
didnt know wether this shud be in hard/software so here goes

i have an ati radeon 9500 ....using the right drivers i can have either screen working perfectly

but then when i try to use dual head ....upon restarting X both screens just go blank and i had to go into rescue mode to reset it ....

i dont get why it wont work ...i can have either screen working jus not both at once

any ideas?

i have been told that there are problems with nforce 2 and the ati drivers...
has anybody actually managed to get dual head working under RH 9 with nforce2?
or suggest another alternative???

Thanks
kane

At last ....i have managed to get dual head working!!!

the solution was to boot up into CLI instead of graphical...and that seems to fix the problem

although the next problem i have .. is that both screens are displaying the same thing, but the mouse can move between the screens (unlike clone mode) but when you try to click on something in the second screen it doesnt react....it seems "dead"

any ideas?

the way i would like it is for the second screen to be an extended version of the first screen so i can drag and drop other windows into that screen (like in windows )

im getting warmer....but still not finished yet lol
