ATI driver hangs the reboot

I'm using the 2.6.7 kernel on Fedora Core 2. I have a Mobility Radeon 9600 and am using the ATI Linux driver. The 2D and 3D acceleration are working fine, everything is good. However, when I reboot/shutdown the computer, a grey/black screen appears and the system hangs. I have to power down and start again.

This only happens when I enable the ATI driver. Also, the same thing happened with 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 kernels. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks.

P.S. I read somewhere that passing noapic and nolapic fixes, but it doesn't.
