AT&T laptop Internet card

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I have not had any success with Linux and wireless cards. I simply locate a Ethernet connection and access the Internet using a wire.

AT&T has been advertising an Internet access card that uses the PCMCIA slot on your laptop. Does Linux like this thing?

Dunno about AT&T but people have been able to get the Verizon cards working..

and looking at this comparison chart you might want the Verizon EVDO instead of the ATT UTMS system any way...
http://evdo-coverage.com/evdo-vs-umt...-internet.html
$ Price of the card is around $120.00 after discounts I think and then service is $60.00 a month unlimited access.

I know the Verizon card I have is at least as fast as the T1 we have here in the building if not faster.

OH Finally found one on the UMTS Cards..
