(ask) about openLDAP user

hello bos,
I have installed openLDAP in my ubuntu. I already follow the configuration in openldap.org and file 'INSTALL' in openLDAP file that I downloaded.
My question is, what I must do after that ??

Am I must create an user for that openLDAP ? or am I must do something that I haven't known ?

And what is the finish result from using openLDAP ??
