arghhh my eyes... How do you set refresh rate in Mandrake 9.0??

Hello, I read already about running XFDrake to set the monitor refresh rate, but I couldn't find any refresh options. I can only select the card type, the moniter, and the resolution. Then I have "test" and "options". If I click on options, it just asks me if I want to start XFree next time I boot. How do I change the refresh rate?!

please search the site for answers before asking questions. this is asked a stupidly large amount of times.

I *always* search before posting, and as I said in the post, I was told to run XFDrake, and as I said in the post, the refresh rate option was not there.

Danke!

You can edit your file directly instead of having XFDrake do it for you. This would be the only way I know you could do it universally.

Open up your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file and locate the section on refresh rates. Plug in/alter the values for your monitor.

Cool

right, so as you were told to use xfdrake, you ignored all the other hundreds of search results? fair enough...
