apt-get and illegal corrupted signatures

Hi all
I'm trying to bring my Redhat9 up to date with apt-get and planet ccrma;
http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/
I've used apt-get before (using planet ccrma) with no problems but now,
I run apt-get update
This seems to work as normal.
Then apt-get upgrade
It downloads what I need to /var/cache/apt/archives
But when it tries to install them it complains about 'illegal corrupted signatures'
and stops.
Ive done a web search and found that this might be due to the apt.conf file instructing apt to check signatures.
So I replaced apt.conf and sources.list with new ones from planet ccrma, still same problem.
Synaptic doesnt work too well either, I think it may use apts files.
I cannot reinstall apt-get because its needed by synaptic and synaptics needed by planet ccrma audio apps.
BTW if I select one of the packages in /var/cache/apt/archives and 'rpm -Uvh' it installs fine but this isnt a solution.

I was hoping someone would notice that. In particular, the problem seems to be with the webmin package. Been that way for at least a week.

Homey,

Mines fixed, I emailed ccrma and they helped.
A repository I had connected to had upgraded my apt to a Fedora/Redhat one.
Remove your apt with the no dependancies option
rpm -e --nodeps apt
Then install apt from planet ccrma.
apt-0.5.5cnc6-1.rh90.i386.rpm
Be carefull when you connect to other repositorys as this could happen again.

HTH.

Thanks, I'll have to check into that.
