Question

Hello everyone.

I've a problem, when do this :
# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart

seems error like this :
can't load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: undefined sysmbol : uncompress.

what happent ? when I take a look at directory, libphp4.so is there. httpd.conf seems OK.

Thx for any mind.

Did you compile PHP with the version of apache you are using now? Do you have mod_so loaded?

I'm using Redhat 7.0

For configure apache I'm used :
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/src --enable-module=rewrite --enable-shared=rewrite
i follow the instruction from readme file.

For mysql, I followed the instruction at BINARY-INSTALL if I am not wrong named the file.

Then I configure PHP using this command :
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql

Wink

Hi rangga_k,

I have used the following lines to configure and build Apache with DSO(Dynamically shared objects) and it is working fine . See if it helps you

$ > ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-module=most --enable-shared=max
$ > make
$ > make install

Hope it helps,

Ashwin

Undefined Symbols

I have not had this problem with Apache yet, but with other programs, when I have compiled and tried to run and gotten an "undefined symbol" error, it was because I had library files from an older version still on my system.

I would suggest, if nothing else works... doing your best to do a really good cleanup of your entire system for all files that Apache and whatever app you are having trouble with. Then you might want to make sure thet /etc/ld.so.conf looks the way it should and once all that is cleaned up.. try recompiling with the commands posted by the others.
