Apache 2.x/1.3x/mod_ssl

I'm trying to upgrade mod_ssl on an Apache 1.3x server. In order to get to the latest version, I'm going to need to upgrade Apache to the latest 1.3x version so I started thinking about just upgrading to version 2.x. It doesn't look like mod_ssl is written for 2.x, though and I can't find out why that is. My assumption is that the mod_ssl functionality has been incorporated into 2.x. Would that be correct?

You're right. apache 2.x is already ssl capable and all you have to do is to enable it (if you want it).
