how can i make something like this http://www.amk.ca/files/howto/ with apache ? tnx in advance

Just enable directory indexing.

Usually you will find this placed between your Directory tags in your httpd.conf file:

#
# This may also be "None", "All", or any combination of "Indexes",
# "Includes", "FollowSymLinks", "ExecCGI", or "MultiViews".
#
# Note that "MultiViews" must be named *explicitly* --- "Options All"
# doesn't give it to you.
#
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews


Notice next to Options, it says Indexes.. that is what enables this function.

check /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file for indexing
