Anyone knows what is kondemand?

I know that is system component of cent os 5,but for some reason sometime it jumps to 20 percent of usage of cpu.And i cant find anything about it on google.On other servers it is on 0 cpu constantly that process.Can anyone give me more details about it?

Well yes i guess that would answer my thread question,but still question is why i takes up to 20 percent of cpu.

I had a problem with that damn process chewing up 70% of my CPU on my laptop. The solution was to take out the battery, unplug the laptop, and wait about 10 seconds. Prior to this I had shutdown and re-boot numerous times. For some reason only after disconnecting the battery AND SHUTTING THE LAPTOP OFF, solved the problem. That process (kondemand) still runs, but now only at .1% of CPU.
