Lightbulb Anyone gurus offering there services for contract work? (samba config)

Hi,

I have tried lots of avenues to get my solution working but I have failed as I am new to the Linux world.

I am looking for someone to help me fix my configuration issues out on a server I own in the UK.

I won't be able to pay HUGE amounts (as I am a one man band) but I will pay (via PayPal or some other form?) for there time, the cost per hour is negotiable.

My issues revolve around samba\smbclient so it would be essential you have knowledge in that area.

Please get in touch for more information.

My email address is amaze@cend.net

Regards

Oliver Cookson

Eh, nevermind paying me for it. I'll tackle it for free; that's within the Tao of Linux.

Tell me some things: What are the OS's trying to connect to the Linux machine? Can you post a copy of your smb.conf file? Did you run smbpasswd -a (username)?

Amaze, asking for payed advice is frowned upon on this site for some obvious reasons. Please refrain from doing so. If this question is wrt http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=79224
then you should have "promoted" your question bumping it and supplying info asked for.

unspawn: I'm sorry I just am seriously stuck and would be prepared to pay a small fee for someone to help me from start to finish with my installation. I will refrain from doing that in the future.

Though can I point out I didn't post the above message to "promote" my message.

Sorry again.

sickboylives: Thanks for the reply. I will answer your questions in the following thread rather than cross-posting:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=79224

Thanks again. Oliver.
