Anyone been able to mount a ntfs partition in RH8?
well I cant mount mine, it says it doesnt support ntfs.
I had this problem with RH7.3 before and they said I have to install a new kernel. Well I have updated my kernel with the up2date agent, so I dont know why it shouldnt work. Doesnt RH8 support mounting ntfs partitions?
no, ntfs is very experimental still and highly unadvised. you will need to compile the kernel yourself to make it work. search this site for more ntfs hell stories.
Well, ntfs is STILL not supported? eehm
Windows.NET will be out and that will have a totally new file system. So they will probably never support that one!
I know all the other pople were trying to tell me something like this, but I dunno that much about linux, so this kinda tutorial was exactly what I needed works well, thanks
