Any facts on Linux on Intel Yonah (Core Duo)?
I've just ordered a Sony Vaio FE11S which has the new core duo cpu.
Since I have every intention of installing Linux (Gentoo) on it as soon as it arrives (hopefully the first week of February) I was wondering if anything is known about Linux on this cpu?
Is support already in the kernel? (Or is it naive to think Intel would let developers in on the specs?)
Will the core work the same (as in do I choose pentium M in the kernel config?) as the old pentium M's?
Since I haven't been able to find any information on this topic and I was wondering if I could immediately start playing with it I thought, lets just post it here, I don't know if this is the right place though.
So in short, will speedstep and all that dynamic stuff you can do with cores work under linux or will I have to choose PIII as cpu and wait for in-kernel support?
Teek.
P.S. Feel free to post any information here regarding Linux on the Yonah (the more the better!).
