Anacron job email, how to stop?

Using: Ubuntu Lucid

Over the last couple of weeks I've been receiving an email every day from "Anacron <root>". The subject is either:

"Anacron job 'cron.daily' on ubuntupc"
"Anacron job 'cron.weekly' on ubuntupc"

Clearly the emails are as a result of some kind of housekeeping task run by anacron, but I can't work out what and -most importantly- how I go about stopping the emails as they are getting annoying?

I tried to clear the warnings with "sudo dpkg --clear-avail" but that failed to put an end to the emails.

Thanks all.

Here's what the emails look like:

Code:
From: Anacron <root>
To: root
Subject: Anacron job 'cron.daily' on ubuntupc

/etc/cron.daily/man-db:
dpkg-query: warning: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 29964 package 'handbrake-gtk':
error in Version string 'svn3295ppa1~lucid1': version number does not start with digit
dpkg-query: warning: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 34964 package 'mac-3.99-u4':
error in Version string 'b3-1': version number does not start with digit
dpkg-query: warning: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 30585 package 'handbrake-gtk':
error in Version string 'svn3295ppa1~lucid1': version number does not start with digit
dpkg-query: warning: parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 35463 package 'mac-3.99-u4':
error in Version string 'b3-1': version number does not start with digit

Lightbulb

You could send the mail somewhere else.

Code:
sudo vi (or nano , gedit et cettera) /etc/anacrontab

change or add line

MAILTO=" " --> Send to nobody

or

MAILTO=root ---> This probably wont work for you as you look like your account is root.

Thanks.

I guess I was hoping for a way to stop the warnings about the version number not starting with a digit, rather than stopping all possible emails, there might be one worth getting at some point in the future.

Cheers.
