Always get an error message when I use "yum"
I have Fedora Core 7 and use KDE.
I recently updated FC-6 to FC-7. (I did the "update" route instead of a "clean install"). Since I did this I can't use yum. I gave "yum update" as an example: [root@localhost ~]# yum -y update Loading "fastestmirror" plugin Loading "installonlyn" plugin Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile Setting up Update Process http://ftp.belnet.be/packages/dries....ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Date: Sun, 17 Jun 2007 19:15:29 GMT Server: Apache Content-Length: 373 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Trying other mirror. Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: dries but it gives the same error message no matter what I try. I first noticed this problem when I issued the command: "yum -y install kyum". Does anyone know what's going on here and how to fix it? Thanks, royeo |
