Alternative to host command for users ?


Hello,

I am making logs, even more, with using netstat. I would like additionally to the IP get the host output. Host is for only root. Could we find an alternative to host command for users ?

Well on the fedora box I'm on now, host is just a normal user executable, it's not suid or anything. Which distro are you trying to do this on?

Debian Stable
