Alsa searching for multiple cards

Good Afternoon

I've just reinstalled alsa from source and still alsa modprobes for multiple cards, in /var/log/syslog I find: Can't locate module snd-card-1,2,3. In /etc/modules.conf I added the line options snd_cards_limit=1 which I thought was supposed to prevent this but I guess not. Would anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of this minor issue. I'm using slackware 9.1 with alsa 0.9.8. Also the card is a soundblaster live 5.1 on a 2.4.22 kernel.

Kind Regards

gbell

If you have an /etc/rc.d/rc.alsa you should look in that file.
