allowing regular users to shut down

We have a computer lab in which students will be using machines that dual boot Win2K/Red Hat 7.3.

We need to allow regular users (students) to shut down the computers in this situation. I know there are different ways to go about this. Does anyone have a recommendation for allowing this in the safest way possible?

Thanks

The "sudo" command will let you do this in a "safe" manner.
