all webrowsers minus konqueror stops responding *updated gaim has similar problem now

>i have the weirdest problem, and i cant find any help, if anyone could offer me some >insight i would GREATLY appreciate it. basicaly, this morning i woke up and opened >my web browser, mozilla firebird .7, and when i try to type any text it immediately >freezes. about 15 minutes later the text i typed will show up and it will work. i tried all >the other web browsers i have, and the only one that works is konqueror. i tried >running from the terminasl to see if it would kick back any error messages, no luck >there. i checked all throughout the system logs, and cannot find anything either. also, >the problem seems to have come out of nowhere, the only thing ive done recently >was try to install flash, which didnt work. but this was 2 days ago and i have had no >problems since today. btw i am running fedora core 1, and i have read about lots of >problems with flash fedora and libstdc++, but in all the cases ive read symptoms >include freezing due to flash content and an error message inolving libstdc++, which i >have none of. this is very fristrating because i have no idea what the problem is, if >anyone could even offer me the slightest insight i would appreciate it so much. >THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

hey all, i think somehting is seriously up, because now out of the blue my messaging client, gaim, stopped working too. all is well untill i try to type input, then it locks up. when i run it from terminal i at least get an error msg:

unix_connect: can't connect to server (unix:/tmp/mcop-zombiedeth/localhost_local domain-1ce5-3ffa6b99)

the weirdest part about this whole gaim thing is that it works fine under root, only under my user account does this occur, and the fact that i havent really made any changes or installed any new software to bring these problems about. in addition, i have to activate the connection on eth0 every time i reboot now, it no longer does it itself, which is also odd. i dont know if these things have anything to do with each other or what, but im starting to think maybe i got hacked? hardware failure somewhere? somebody PLEASE help me, i am getting increasingly frustrated. thank you!

Has the always been a problem? have you installed/changed anything recently?

Try disabling iptables and try mozilla again.
