akmod on x86_64, but I also need to build libs for i386

So akmod is working great for me. Allows me to update kernels without waiting for livna (who seems to be particularly slow this time around).

I get compiz working, opengl games, glxgears, etc. No sweat at all!

The problem comes in when I need the libs (xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs-version.lvn10.i386). Those are required for a lot of 32 bit applications that are running in a 64 bit system (most particularly, read: any 32 bit windows graphics app ... like warcraft ... that you're running in Wine).

I haven't figured out a way to have akmod build /those/ libraries, even though it has no trouble building the correct libraries for my kernel.

Any ideas? Until then, I'm back to staying a kernel version behind while I wait for livna to create those libraries, and that kinda defeats the purpose of akmod for my application.

Hey there,

Just to say I asked, do you have the kernel devel pkg's installed for both architectures?

Best wishes,

Mike

I highly doubt it. I don't have a 32 bit kernel installed at all and wasn't sure what would be required to make an akmod version of a driver. Would I have to install the full kernel and devel, switch to the 32 bit version of the kernel and then build using akmod?

Seems like a /lot/ of overhead if that's the case.
