Adobe Flash coming to an end for Linux
Can you believe this. I went to the adobe website to get the latest flash and they now have a notice posted

So the option will be the chromium/chrome browsers...
|
Flash for Linux will still be available, but developed by Google. Unfortunately, they switched the plugin framework to the Pepper plugin API, which is currently not implemented in any other browser than Chrome/Chromium. The Mozilla developers decided not to implement that API, instead they come up with their own replacement for the Flash plugin (currently in development).

From the work I read about at Fubuntu and other places to get Netflix to work, one may soon be able to cheat the OS into thinking that it is a window system. Then the ability to run non-native new versions of flash.
Dumb Adobe! More dumb still is the people who haven't switched to HTML5. And that still needs work. |
Even if people switch to HTML5 from now on there still will be a lot of content only available in Flash. Besides that, many people don't see the need to abandon Flash, since it still is supported on OS X and Windows.

I uploaded a Stevie Ray Vaughan rare tribute in my utube account, and thousands views, i guess 3 thousand, in few days, soon you tube message me to 'monetize' the video, and I didn't i hate that ads and would ruin the video (i'm fan hehe), and so fast as hell youtube banned the video to german ips. That's Business |
They will have to add in drm or some type of encryption to HTML5 otherwise it will die. Last time I checked, many of the videos are in HTML5 on youtube.
|
sorry Alchemikos, could you run that by me again? youtube ASKED you whether you wish to make money off of your video???!!
.... and why specifically *german* IPs? |
In Germany we have this horrible institution, the GEMA. No one likes it, but tut they exist and they are the cause we don't have (legal) access to many Youtube videos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gesells...eos_in_Germany
