Exclamation Adjusting mouse operation.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to adjust how a mouse operates in Linux.

I know that in Windows I can adjust how quickly I must double-click, but I have been unable to find how to adjust this in Linux.

If it makes any difference I am using Peppermint Linux version 7.

Many thanks.

All must all distros with GUI interfaces offer some sort of control center in which mouse behavior can be modified. You can configure your mouse without benefit of a GUI via the command line, but that's rather arcane.

Peppermint is based on Lubuntu, so this might help: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Mouse

Thank you for the reply.

I checked out the info but didn't find anything that helped, so I scrapped that distro and am trying another one.

Many thanks.

Just a fyi: distrowatch.com (to pick distros). This may imply limited GUI features.
Maybe: gtk-double-click-time=500 (or other ms) in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini

Best wishes for more enjoyment! (Maybe tell us about how your next 'distro pick' works out
