Adding extra parameters to Grub, Puppy Linux How?

For example in puppy live cd, i typed "puppy acpi=off pnpbios=off ide=nodma" (no quotes) which worked well. Now i've done a hard disk install with no os residing it except puppy(so meaning puppy is the lone os in the HD). What grub entry will i type if i still want to pass these extra parameters upon booting of the newly installed os? thank you

Not sure but you could try something like this.

grub> root (hd0,0)
grub> kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 acpi=off pnpbios=off ide=nodma
grub> boot

If grub is installed now you can add the options to the menu.lst with the /boot/grub folder (as root)

it just hangs at uncompressing kernel? I think you should get an 'OK' after it's uncompressed before it even tries anything else, then 'booting the Kernel' Maybe it's corrupt? I can only suggest a reinstall and try again. Sorry can't be much help I'm no puppy expert, just battled with grub a few times.
