adding entry to grub
i jsut install a distro last night, but it olny allowed me to use lilo. so i put lilo on / partition of my new install. i want to use grub as my manager. i saw something about using a chainloader entry , or shuold i add it the normal way?
and also, can someone point me to the right documentation on their page for this? i just can't seem to find it.
any help appriciated.
oh yeah my partitions:
/dev/hda1 /boot
/dev/hda2 /(for other distro)
/dev/hda3 /(for new distro)
/dev/hda5 /swap
grub.org has a lot of documentation... if you want to use grub, I would do away with lilo and go grub only.... I also recommend installing on the MBR, which is also covered in the docs @ grub.org

i ve got grub on the mbr. all i want to do is add an entry.
i just cant find it on their site. i know i must be missing something, ive done it beofre, but now i dont remember.
here's the docs from gentoo.... ignore everything except the part right after installing grub, there's a section about adding entries to grub.... the only thing that may be different is that grub.conf may be in a different place, but I doubt it.
