Active/passive clustering - How do i install my database Application.

I am a dba. I want to implement Oracle RAC on linux for the first time.

The customer has a two node cluster (Active / Passive mode, only one node is available at a time) implemented with Redhat Linux Cluster. This is being installed by HP and is expected to finish by the end of this week. The essence of the cluster is for failover which should be transparent to the users. We need to install Oracle as a requirement for installing our software application that runs on Oracle on this cluster and also enjoy the cluster features - Oracle HA - such that if the master node fails, Oracle and our software application will also failover to the slave node without the user knowing this. We need to find out how to implement this and the requirements and some questions quickly comes to mind: - Are we to install the same Oracle Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition that we normally install and this will work with the cluster with some configuration files? Or is there Oracle HA binaries that need to be installed? What are the other requirements for this effective failover and takeover? How is this configured? Is Standard Oracle to be installed and Redhat Cluster will handle the failover with nothing to configure on the Oracle side? These are questions we must answer within a short time which will buy me some time to carry out test.
