Question acer aspire one wont boot up


I get error message it says check cable what cable ???

What are you trying to do? Have you posted in the correct forum. What distro are you using?

I dont know im new here comp wont load it wont let me use f2 as it wont accept my password and when i tried ti reinstall linux it say check cable it also says boot not on usb but it is

It would help someone to help you if you gave some information.
As asked above, which distribution of Linux are you using?
Did you install it yourself?
Is it a new install or have you been using it for some time?
At what point do you get this error message?
Are you trying to boot an installed system?
Are you trying to install a Linux distribution?

Linux is the one that came with it, I have been useing it since purchase, comp wont load at all except give message to say check cable, after kids have been using the comp, i am try to reboot an installed system, but says the same no boot on usb check cable

Your kids have screwed the bios boot order and have network boot selected as first in boot order.

Your boot order since you did not post what Acer Aspire model laptop should look like

1. Diskette Drive
2. IDE CD-ROM Device
3. Hard-Disk Drive C
4. Integrated NIC

It sounds like they moved option 4 above option 3 in boot order.
