why would you use windows if it was free rather than if it costs you money? use linux because it's BETTER, not cos it's a free replacement. that's certainly not fitting with the linux "way of life"
anyway, second drive. use "fdisk -l" to list all your partitions on hard drives conencted to the system to find the partition ID'a i'd guess it'd be hdb1. then create a mount entry in /etc/fstab:
/dev/hdb /mnt/otherdrive vfat defaults 0 0
create the /mnt/ directory and mount it with "mount /mnt/otherdrive"
The entry in fstab will mount the drive automatically every time you boot.
Using the mount command at the prompt is a one-shot action. The drive will be unmounted at shutdown, or when you issue the umount command for the drive, and will not be available until you issue mount again.
