accessing a partition

This should be simple, but.....
I created a FAT partition during install of Red Hat 7.2 so that I could share files between my windows drive and the linux drive. I can see the drive from within windows (XP), but don't know how to access it through linux. It's designated "hdb5", and I can see it in the /dev directory. Can anyone tell me how to get to this partition?

just so your not confused, acid said /mnt/point , the point is the empty directory you want to mount it to.. if it doesn't exist, use mkdir to create on in /mnt or elsewhere if you would like.
