Came across a post here at linuxquestions.org where someone ended their "help" with like "give me root access and Ill fix it".

You should NOT give an outsider root or group wheel access to ure box cuz this will give em a fat chance to I. snafu without holding back (rm -rf * anyone?) II. copy ure passwords & stuff III. backdoor ure box for later use.

If they really want to help feed 'em what they need tru mail.

Actually I would have, but I didn't see it until now. I know it has happened in the past, but I can not say that I recommend giving anyone you do not know an account - let alone giving them root access. Just a FYI LinuxQuestions.org cannot take ANY responsibility if you do this.
