A different kind of cron question

I've been using cron to execute a perl script and it does execute the perl script. Everything runs in the perl script except a system call that executes another program. However, when I run this script from the command prompt, it runs fine. Does anyone have an idea what would cause this.

I think it would be helpfull for the people that try to help you if you post a little more info, like posting errors, parts of the script, or in full.

I'm not a cron expert but the user you run the command from in the command prompt is probably different from the user the cron job is running as. You are probably getting permissions errors.
