80x25 256 color?

Hi,

I'm a Nethack gamer, and I'd like to be able to run a regular 80x25 console with 256 colors instead of 16. Is there a way to do this, perhaps with the vga= at the boot prompt? Thanks

Not sure about the console, but you can make a 256-color-enabled xterm by following the instructions at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hint...m-256color.txt

My mistake, Nethack is the same amount of colors as on XP, the colors are just slightly different shades.
