2 computers into 1?

Just curious.. is it possible to set up two seperate computers and link their processing power into a single processor? For a desktop situation.. not server stuff.. I have 2 600mhz machines.. I would prefer one 1.2ghz.. is this at all possible? And how?

Keep in mind that the workload isn't going to be as efficient with a setup like that, so you'll get about 1 Ghz or so ...

Sell one of the machines and use the cash to buy a new CPU and mobo for the one you have left. Or sell them both and build a 1.2 Ghz machine from the proceeds.

That could work, too, y'know .

Selling a 600 is harder than you think. And 600 Mhz is plenty powerful for many, many things ...
