2.6.6, LILO and boot floppy...

I'm using LILO to boot my 2.6.6 kernel. However I want to be able to boot LILO from floppy. It seemed easy but it isn't. LILO tries to copy the kernel image on the floppy and of course it can't because the bzImage is too big to fit on the floppy. Is there a way to tell LILO to install only itself on the floppy but not the kernel image and then to boot the kernel from its location on the hard disk? Is this possible?
