1 NFTS partition to 2 FAT32 partitions, and GRUB failes

I did 1 NFTS partition to 2 FAT32 partitions so I can share them between Windows and Linux. The problem (?) is that my Linux partition /dev/hda9 then became /dev/hda10 and my swap /dev/hda8 became /dev/hda9.

When I restarted the computer, GRUB only loads in text mode, not the GUI as usual.

It must be something like that GRUB doesn't find it's files or something? What do I have do edit?

(I have SuSE 9.0 if that's any help)

Make sure that grub.conf points to kernel images on the right partitions, make sure that your fstab entries are correct, and then reinstall grub. That should fix it, unless I've missed something...

I used SuSE's repair system @ the CD. It worked excellent.
