'broken pipe' error when attempting to write to windows share

Hello everyone,
Recently, I found that I am unable to write to windows shares on my local network from my linux box. I get an error that says 'broken pipe' after copying a small portion of a file or I get a an error saying 'resource temporarily unavailable' immediately after attempting to copy a file to the windows share.

Copying from the windows share to my linux box works perfectly.

Any help resolving this will be greatly appriciated

Thanks
