*HELP* CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad

I am not sure whats going on here?

I have tried resetting the CMOS by using the jumper. Did not work...

I have tried using PC Chips reset method which says to hold down "page up" while resetting pc, that did not work...

I got it where is went through POST and then came up with this code:

CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad

Then it came up with this:

CMOS Setup Incorrectly

Then sometimes i get nothing, everything powers up, but i get mo display at all.

After i reset with no display, it does not even get through POST afterwards.

So as you can tell, I am not sure what the heck is going on here....

CPU: Athlon XP 2000+
MB: PC Chips K7 Socket A M825G
Power Supply: 450 Watt

Make sure that all of the memory cards are firmly seated in their sockets.

Check for irregular power.

Start replacing parts. Something is failing and it might be simplest to replace the motherboard.

I did some more research and found that I, for some reason, put the cpu heat sink and fan on backwards. I am such a dummy...

So as you can guess i pretty much fried my cpu...

That was all the problems.... i can't believe it, i have done this numerous times as well, i feel like a dork....

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help...
