'dhcpcd wlan0' in rc.local hangs machine at boot: workaround?

Hi,

I have a misconfigured wlan0 device, and the 'dhcpcd wlan0' command in rc.local hangs the machine at boot.

How can I boot the machine to amend/bypass rc.local?

I don't have a floppy drive...

When you are still in LILO, select the kernel you want to boot from, then on the LILO command line on the bottom of the screen add either the number 1 or the word single after the kernel name. That will boot you into single mode, which should avoid most of the startup scripts.

Thanks Hangdog, I'll try this later.

It works a treat, thanks for this.
