Twinview was the only change I've made to my system. Like I said GXMAME was working fine for awhile. I was using XMAME.90 for X11 with GXMAME.035 CVS. I only use TwinView ocassionly and never when I'm playing MAME games. I only used XMAME on my regular monitor and that's what I'm still trying to use it on. I have a regular CRT monitor and then a TV as the second display. I tried to update to XMAME.95 on PLF and was told that the signatures were bad. Is that another problem?
Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, if you were using xmame.x11 in the past, and had it working full-screen, I presume that you have modelines in your X configuration file? If so, have you checked the X logfile after your TwinView change to see if those modelines will work with your updated configuration?

If you want, just email me at phulshof@xs4all.nl. That way if you need to send me some configuration/logfiles to have a look at you can.

it's worth trying this to get fullscreen video for xmame:

1) hit leftALT+home : set xvideo mode;
2) hit alt pagedowm : go in full screen mode.

this works for me with debian lenny.

output of xmame --version:

GLERROR: cannot access OpenGL library libGL.so
GLERROR: dlerror() returns [libGL.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
Use of OpenGL mode disabled
XDGAOpenFramebuffer failed
Use of DGA-modes is disabled
xmame (x11) version 0.106 (Jun 23 2008)
