x stops when exiting full window opengl game
I'm not sure if it's normal, but after exiting neverwinter nights for linux my x-window-system goes to the login screen, thus killing all apps i had running in the background. Do all games do this or is there a way to fix this? I can't tell because nwn is the only game i have for linux. The applications run fine in the background while playing though. Thanks.

Hmm, not really, I use Nvidia :P
But don't worry - today new "revolutional" ATi drivers should be released. Maybe the issue will be fixed with them. And if you use X 6.8, try to disable Composite extension. Also look into dmesg (or Ctrl-Alt-F10) - maybe there're strange error messages when X crashes.

Debian still uses XF86. Though you can use xorg it is better to wait till the stable xorg comes out. Do you have a date on when the new drivers are coming out? I mean i just downloaded them this weekend, and they're ok, but do shit like this that is just, well, how shall i put it, how about "teh sux". And no, there is no error message, it's just as if it kills x and then runs startx to get back in. Pretty primitive, but hey, at least i have opengl and 3d hardware acceleration, i shouldn't be bitchin, but then again, i am a ati client and they better get their shit back together for linux, otherwise nvidia is gonna get a new client when i build a new computer with nforce4 pciexpress amd64 and all that new shit that is coming out.
EDIT: Nm, i fixed it when i fixed a kdm bug. Deleting ~/.Xauthority helped. But still i want to get dual head mode working out of the box with ati drivers, so they still gotta fix their act :P.
