World of warcraft start trouble (Wine)

Hi there, so, i'm trying to run World of warcraft using Wine, everything works smooth....until i have to do something with someone...i.e. attack or trade etc.

When i click on characters or animals nothing happens, i can use the menus and the actionbars +++
But when i try to click char's or "live things" in the game, it won't get marked, any help on that?

And today i tried running it again, i then got this error message :

X Error of failed request: BadMatch (Invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_Createwindow)
Serial number of failed request: 13
Current serial number in output stream: 14

What does that mean?

Thanks
-KK

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but i know Star Wars Galaxies, Far Cry and others that use direct X have issues because directX is bloody microsoft's junk and dev's won't make native linux ports (bugger all, only reason i have anything M$ is to play video games)

Are you using Wine or Cedega? If you're using Wine, I'd suggest migrating to Cedega. Yeah, the compiled version will cost you $5 but it's cash well spent.

Re: the DirectX comment. Just about every game made for Windows in the last 7-8 years used DirectX. A lot of them work flawlessly or close to it under Wine/Cedega. So, it can't all be DirectX's fault now, can it?

Thanks for the reply

I use wine. I've been thinking 'bout going over to cedega, but that will be later

You see, i can get World of Warcraft running just great, but it's the click thing i explained that annoys me

I can click on everything, but not players, animals and foes....
