I have never herd of world of warcraft 3, does your friend work for blizzards development department? Any way the easy way to get it to work would be cedega. transgaming.com

Warcraft 3 is a RTS.

World of Warcraft is an MMO.

WC3 is playable, WOW is not in Linux via winex.

Ive been playing World of Warcraft with Cedega since the game was in beta. It works perfectly right now. I also heard the normal wine tree has gotten the game to work. The Cedega forms have lots of info on how to get the game to work if you're having problems.

yes WoW works 100% with cedega(sp?) the new wineX project. i run it on my secondary system and it runs just about as good as it does under windows.

i need to replace my main gaming boxes vid card and then i can go 100% linux at the house and no longer worry about the crud that is windows and i can still play my WoW
