WineX Windowed Mode?

Is there anyway to run WineX in a windowed mode? I read that you could do it through changing my wine config files, but I was hoping maybe there was an option I could pass like -windowed="640-480" or something, so I can tell it the resolution and everything I want. Most of the time, I like to run games full screen, but there are times when I'd prefer to run it in a window (take screenshots, chat during downtime etc.), so I don't want to have to keep changing my config files. Any ideas?

The option is called "Desktop", and you can set it globally, or per-game in the config file, or you can pass it as an option in the run command.

To set it globally, re-comment "Managed=Y" and uncomment "Desktop=XXXxYYY" (XXX and YYY being your preferred resolution for the window, of course).

To set it for a specific application only, scroll down to the "per application" settings at the bottom. You'll want to add something like this:

[AppDefaults\\falloutw.exe\\x11drv]
"Desktop" = "1024x768"

Or, you can run wine <application_name> --desktop=XXXxYYY .

Hope this helps.

Hm, the -desktop parameter doesn't seem to work with WineX. Does it only work with wine only, or is the command just different in WineX?
