You can always download the source but WINEX (www.transgaming.com)is better for games than WINE, you can download the CVS for free, follow their instructions on the site

The Wine for Debian may work for you. If not, you will have to get the source code and compile it. Doesn't Lindows have the Click-n-run for you to get Wine?

xCeLLx 04-02-2004 01:27 PM

yea, it does, umm when i get home i'll check but i doubt they have it. But Thanks for Help and yea im just 15 and im new to linux =/ so execuse the newbiness. And no i dont know how to compile source codes either.

Well wine makes it very easy to compile, you just have to run one script (unlike the several steps for most other stuff).

LavaDevil94 04-02-2004 02:42 PM

heres the universal compile:
cd the_unzipped_directory
./configure
make
su -c make\ install
for wine, add make depend before make but after ./configure. also, if it complains about not finding a fake c drive, download this tool, which, along with many other things, installs it for you. you can find it here:
http://frankscorner.org
its called WineTools.

oh, and you can download winex cvs version legally free, instructions are here:

Charles: In future please start your own thread, posting at the bottom of someone elses is called thread hijacking and it's rude and annoying.

Ubuntu should have Wine in it's repositories, type this in a terminal to install it.
Code:

apt-get install wine
