I have the Windows game CD's for quake 1 & 2, warcraft 2, UT:GOTY edition, the sims, rainbow six , rogue spear, diablo 1 & 2, and worms world party. can any of these game disc's be used to install on linux so i dont have to replace them with linux versions? thanks
Quake 1 & 2 have linux versions. I think better then the windows one, because they released the code and people built their games around it.
sims has a linux version by transgaming, UT has a linux versions I think.
I think you can run almost all of those games on Linux using wine or winex.
Distribution: Gentoo 2004.2: Who needs exmmpkg when you have emerge?

quake 1 and 2 are natively ported, and so is ut. warcraft 2 is a maybe matter. there was this project called freecraft that was an engine for using the warcraft files on linux, but it was shut down by blizzard. you might be able to find a tarball or package somewhere on the net, though.
