Why do a few of my Linux games play SLOW MOTION?

Dangerdeep, the new Super Tux, and a couple of car racing games. What do I do to correct the problem? Suse 10/x86

I don't want to sound angry - but read this:
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
then ask your question again.

xpromisex has a point. More info helps others help you. Given the nature of the problem the model of the graphics card would be a good start.

output of;
glxinfo
or
fglxrinfo *I think, nvidia only for me*
or even
glxinfo | grep direct
might point out a problem with 3d acceleration

If dangerdeep or one of the racing games is started from the command line what errors or warnings come up? With that type of information one of the graphics gurus has a place to start.

The reason why I did not get too detailed

is because I'm sure that I'm not the only person who has/had this problem. I figured someone would have said, "Oh, make sure this is set or check for this". Understand?? Anywayz....here is the info requested. I'm using a Trident Cyberblade/DSTN/Ai1 graphics card.

If you would have typed: glxinfo | grep direct, the result will be:
direct rendering: No

The problem is that your card does not have 3d acceleration. ATI and Nvidia have drivers for linux but I don't know about yourvideo card.

What video driver are you using?
I THINK that the 'trident' driver (In Arch its packaged as something like 'Xf86-Video-Trident') has 3D support, but I'm not sure. Try it out.
