Which, in my not so humble opinion, is not so good. I think it takes away a lot of Bungie's independency whatever Microsoft or Bungie might say... I mean, if you rely on someone for money, you will always be somewhat more eager to comply with that persons requests. (Regarding the fact MS bought Bungie ;-) )

Go ahead, but don't expect me to put in any money unless they're porting StarCraft. I'm just not a big fan of WoW, I'm not sure why. I guess I prefer FPSes and RTSes over RPGs and MMORPGs.
My point exactly - Bungie will never release a Linux version of Halo because they're now part of MS.

I think it's not to difficult do do soo. Many games run in linux without altering the entire program. So in my oppinion those lazy ass game developers should just make games platform independent games. like WoW, Unreal, RTCW etc.

What are you talking about?, Unreal Tournament (AKA UT99) runs natively on Linux, and so can the original Unreal, through the OldSchool mod. There's even an installer for Unreal 1 at icculus' webiste which does not require you to have UT99 installed.

RTCW also works natively on Linux, though you will have to have the pak files extracted from the .cab files of the Windows installer (I believe there is a Linux installer for RTCW somewhere)...

As for WoW and the others, I 100% agree with you. With the example of companies like Epic, Id and Bioware, more companies should start porting their games to Linux, or at least make sure new in-development titles have a Linux port.

I think you didn't understand me :P I ment that developers should be more like Id (atari) i gave examples of games who are platform independent.

Me too but since that's a MS game. . . well, I think we can all make a pretty good guess at what the likelihood of that happening is.
