What File Types Can I Use?


i have just installed xandros on my laptop and was wondering what type of files i can install. thanks.

You most definitely can install from source (.tar.gz via tar -xvf, ./configure, make, make check, make install.... or however the INSTALL file says to install). According to distrowatch there is no rpm package, so from the looks of it by default you cannot install rpms. But that doesnt mean you will never be able to. I am sure they have an update to install the rpm package. Other than that I am not sure at the moment.

No problem. Let me know how you like that OS. I am thinking about putting it on my gf's computer... hopefully removing the windows partition
