According to:

VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 65x/M650/740 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter

what interface is it ?

I forgot that this was a laptop as there is a similar thread about a desktop. Either way most laptops do have interchangeable video cards.

Software mode games all the way for Woohoo, sadly.

One more tweak to try: if BIOS allows to increase shared memory for SIS chip it can help to boost performance a little bit.
Good point!.
I was forgetting it's a laptop.......

Darn, well if you can't find a way to replace it with a better one, you'll have to stick to games that don't require 3D acceleration too much.

Most games listed on here will work:
http://happypenguin.org/

Anything that looks to be 3D and high quality graphics will likely not run.

You can't replace video cards in old laptops because they are soldered (no MXM port or smth similar).
Anyway, his accelerator is integrated so there might be no space either.

Your computer is not bad at all...

Its quite good actually... There are lot of fun opesource games... i like World of Padman.. A really cool multiplatform shooter game... check it out

Also you can play online games anytime, check OrcPad.com i like the selection of games there...

Theres plenty of cool games around, and many don't require very very high end computers
