UT2004 Configuration file

I finally got the drivers working for my ATI 9600 (long story, fsck-ing SIS AGP chip). I downloaded the UT2004 demo to see how it's working. When I try to run ut2004demo, I get an error in the console that says:

Can't find 'ini:Engine.Engine.GameEngine' in configuration file

History:

Exiting due to error

Which configuration file is it talking about, and how do I fix it? Anybody know?

TIA

UT2004 will not work at all with a driver older than 3.7.0 i reccommend getting the 3.7.6 driver. if you do have a up to date driver, i got no clue. by the way what motherboard do you have? i got the ECS K7S5A mobo with a SIS chip and i got the ati radoen 9800 pro. and i have some major problems in a few native games (cough UT2004) i get 5 fps at low quality graphics. heh maybe you could help me.

I'm using the 3.7.6 driver. The guys over at rage3d.com can probably help you with your driver. What do you get when you type "fglrxinfo"?

Anybody know about the UT2004demo configuration file?

The file he's referring to is ~/.ut2004demo/System/ut2004.ini

I'm not exactly sure, but it sounds like either the file is missing (should have been created when the game is first run), or it's corrupted.

Your download was probably messed up. I had problems with the demo but the retail games runs smoothly. Just buy it, it's only 20 bucks if you have ut2003 already. I remember a way to get it for 10 but I can't think of it.

if you're having problems with 3.7.6 and slow fps go back to 3.7.0 and see if that'll help.
